  • Eurotrash!  (It’s closer than you think…) by Eddie

One of the hidden delights of television is Community Access Cable.  When you get sick of Nick at Nite’s endless loop of Roseanne or Three’s Company, sometimes (and I repeat sometimes) you can stumble across fascinating little offerings located in the nether-regions of your remote.  Shows like ‘Pandora Peaks Speaks’ which features the titular adult movie star and her gal pals just cooking (as only they know how) and chewin’ the fat.  This show gives new meaning to the dish ‘Naked Shrimp’.

Then there’s this little gem – Intervision.  Last week it was a Greek variety show.  This week it was a spectacular Russian singing/dancing extravanganza that put Eurovision to shame.

    It’s a rocking good way on Intervision…

Maybe I’m just missing SBS in Australia (our multi-cultural channel), but it feels kinda nice that Europe isn’t that far out of reach from the US after all.

Which begs the question…why haven’t there been any Eurotrash wrestlers?  WCW kinda hinted at it with Berlyn  (his burly offsider was…you guessed it…’The Wall’), but didn’t go far enough.

  • Hehe…you said “titular” and “nether-regions”.

Unfortunately, the quality and content of public-access depends on the area, so public access in Eau Claire offers low-wattage sludge like “Unkle Boob” and “The Cow Report” instead of pr0n stars cooking prawns.

Wonder no more!  Come Fall, LGN will be debuting the teutonic electronica grappling tag team “Wrasselhaus” (insert oomlats where you like). They are like Kraftwerk without all the integrity and talent….and as many Key-tars as we can find!

  • All those years watching Benny Hill as a kid, were not wasted on me, MrBH

Nice one, miss firecracker.  That sounds like my kinda team…holler if you need some original entrance music :)

  • Miss Firecracker -  When are you gals coming to LA??!
