*UPDATE: NEW Season of ¡MUCHA LUCHA!
ML Season 3 will premiere on Kids WB Network on Sept. 11th. (hey we didn’t pick the date! 
) at 7.30am L.A. time; 8.30am Eastern time. It’s also on 3.30pm weekdays on Kids WB. We recommend watching the first two episodes “Buena Basura” and “Shamrock ‘n Roll”. Thanks to Greg Colton and Ricky Garduno for great storyboards and dialogue. Together with new music by Chuy Flores & Mambotron, we think these opening episodes are pretty awesome.

Imagen Awards 2004
(pronounced Ee-ma-hen)We didn’t win the Children’s Best Animated Programming category. For the fourth consecutive year, the award went to Dora The Explorer. At first, we were all a bit down about not winning, expecting to have had a good chance this year (surely Dora couldn’t win again?), but by the end of the night, we were like – oh well.
So Eddie didn’t get to do his acceptance speech thanking the luchadores of Mexico… But really, it has been a huge honor for ML to be nominated at all, and this is great stuff. Many thanks to all the talented artists and loyal viewers who have contributed to Mucha Lucha’s success, and to Helen Hernandez for organizing this event! (www.imagen.org)

the Award ceremony. They left immediately after dessert.

The one celebrity moment that made our day actually took place at the WBA studio yesterday afternoon. There we were, finishing up a voice recording session for ML, and who should walk in the door but Batman! Yes, the original Batman, Adam West! We were introduced and he shook our hands. (gush) Now, where was Joel with his camera?

I looked online earlier to see if the results were up. hmmm. Bummer and yet I understand what you’re saying about being THERE; you were recognized by nomination. And what an experience. Surely a win-win with the right attitude spin!
i don’t get Dora getting it again. i’ve watched all the shows that were up, many times(Dora with the grandkids a lot) and the outcome has me confused regarding the judgine ‘criteria’ i suppose.
Adam West… what a hoot! and no camera. those are the kind of experiences I consider sketching when i don’t get to capture with photo. A sketch of it would be funny!! thanks for sharing. And you guys look FAB in the photo.
DARN THAT DORA AND HER AWARD-HOGGING!
I was flippin’ through stations the other evening and came across my first two episodes of Mucha Lucha! Woohoo! The most surreal part was watching the credits and seeing all the names that appear on your blogs. It was like, “Hey, I kinda-sorta know those people!”
Holy Cow…I’m the biggest nerd in the whole world for not stopping by sooner.Just last night, my son was RAVING about Mucha Lucha…and I kept saying, ‘Oocha Snooochca?’ and he kept saying…’Nooooo Mom, ‘Moooocha Loooocha!’ I took great joy in annoying him with mispronuciations all night!
So, it’s a great show that captivated us all last night. We’ve out-grown Dora…blah.I have a feeling Mucha Lucha world domination is about to happen!
