- SMH: Wollongong wants to defect to France
- SMH: Meteorite crater has been found in Mexico,
- There are rumours that Osama Bin Laden has been caught
- And then Peter sent us these CAT pictures – #1, #2 - which we hope are a joke, or they would be just too sad…

WOOF!
Greetings from my newly arrived bawbricks.
Our US visas have been approved. On Monday we have to go into the Sydney consulate, submit forms, passport photos and pay visa application fees. We still don’t know where exactly we’ll be staying in LA and when exactly we’ll be leaving, but it could be at a moment’s notice within the next two weeks.
I can see us frantically packing our bags, saving files to our laptops, trying to decide which CDs, books, toys…. to bring. Two months isn’t really a long time, but it could seem like forever when you are away from your precious possessions and familiar routines, placed in an unfamiliar and bare office.
We watched HowTo Succeed In Business Without ReallyTrying last nite. A musical satire with Bob Fosse dance numbers, Nelson Riddle score, and amazing colour-styling by Mary Blair! The art direction was the best part.
There was a funny tip from the movie: “Find yourself a large company where each employee is never quite sure what the next person does”. Eddie and I both looked at each other and thought exactly the same thing …

Deep NY Edition from Breakbeat Science
The more we look at pictures of vinyl figures on the internet, the more we want to make our own. Or at least find someone whom we can trust to make them for us. Any modelmakers out there who want to make us some custom figures?
Nathan Jurevicious, the Melbourne-based illustrator, now has his own vinyl figure. Junko Mizuno, another well-known illustrator also has hers. Everybody seems to be starting their own the limited-edition vinyl figure enterprise, and we gotta admit we’ve been also wanting to do this for a while now. It’s a costly and time consuming exercise, and we need the right contacts. Can we do it?
After checking out these pages from xl-shop, I think I’m going to buy me some Super Sculpy this weekend and have a go.

Picture above taken from our studio:
A silly red bear we bought in HK (his eyes are supposed to be where they are!), Godzilla, cute lil’ wind-up luchador, and the Rikochet maquette was made for us by Natalia 2 years ago (this was what Rikochet used to look like when we first designed him). And you’ve seen our figure of The Flea course…
Above: Some toys from our home collection including two of Eric So‘s Estate kids.
Weekend mission: try sculpt a luchador figure for the Viva Lucha! show… (if it turns out ok)

Thanks to xanga for the long-awaited Time Zones feature. All dates and times on this blog are now accurate! (Sydney time)
This morning we did an interview with Kzone Magazine (the No. 1 selling kids’ magazine in Australia. plug plug) There’s a very nice double-page story on ML in the current issue. The next issue’s story is supposed to be “A Day in the Life of an Animator”. We had pictures taken of us doing various animation-related activities: storyboarding, design, animating, music, etc. Now, kids. Don’t get the wrong idea. You can’t really do all this stuff in a single day…
Flash Flash Revolution - a web version of Dance Dance Revolution that you play with your …er… fingers? (couldn’t figure it out, really)

Our First TOYS!
Our ¡Mucha Lucha! SUBWAY figurines arrived from WB today (poster). The best looking ones are Patata Jr. and Snowpea (yes, even though he does look a bit like a butt plug. Thank you, Mr. Unknown)
The Rikochet and Patata figures come with little ringside launcher thingies, which they sit on. Super cool! The Buena Girl and Primadonna Hodges figures are on roller-launchers with wheels. You click on the top turnbuckle and they fire off towards each other! Wheee!

(It’s late – Will take better pics in natural light tomorrow)
Unfortunately, we were only sent two of each. So, too bad for our Australian friends. We can’t give any away. Unless we can persuade our American friends to buy Subway meals on our behalf… Hey, Jorge, how hungry are you?
