Multiplane camera in ToonBoom ANIMATE
This is a city background that Eddie created in ToonBoom Animate. Testing out camera moves here, and using 3D space – this is SO COOL!!!
And here is another video (same scene) where the cars on the street are moving.
We also want to share with you the rendered Quicktime video but it has been hours and the scene still has not fully rendered. Scene length = 99 frames; render time = 3 hours???
Here is the Quicktime export from Animate
Multiplane Camera – City from Eddie Mort on Vimeo.

cool! This is looking great and your accents are so darn cute. Does this provide a better solution for you than after effects?
@JP - we don’t use After Effects. In terms of a complete animation package, this really is what we have been looking for.
There is still a Quicktime render issue with this scene, so we are talking to Toonboom support to try and figure it out
This is really nice! Thanks for sharing. I understand that you guys are using this instead of compositing the shots in after effects, but what are the advantages that made you guys choose toonboom for this?Again thanks a lot for sharing, I wish more studios would show sneak peaks of their processes like you guys, specially for students like me.Genaro
@Genaro Rocha - thanks!
We want a program that does everything in one – effects, camera, multiplane and export – rather than exporting to other programs. Can AE do multiplane camera moves as quickly and expertly as this?
