Genuine Fighting Kenzo rolls up Dr. Von Trapp in ‘Rudo by Night’
Searching through all our folders at Fwak! central, I’d forgotten how awesome Lili’s animation drawings were for ‘Rudo by Night’. Back then our technique combined layout/animation, with a lot of attention given to which elements we could re-use in Flash.

Super cool. I really like the use of colored pencil, too, something not seen so often in this digital photoshop age.
I cannot stress enough how much I LOVE ‘Rudo By Night’!!!
I honestly used to check the old site DAILY for new episodes!!!!
Do something with this universe!!! PLEASE!!!! Hell, even straight to DVD…
“Remember…a true rudo HAS no friends!”
You guys always give me motivation to create my own flash cartoon!
Thanks everyone!
Rudo, this will always be one of my personal favorites. A few years back we actually wrote a feature length script which continued after the first three episodes.
I always felt we ould revisit ‘Rudo by Night’ one day. Finding all the old artwork is definitely inspiring me to do something…
I should add that “Rudo By Night” was our very first experience with Flash. So, at the time of these layout drawings I had only just started to think in terms of “symbols” and separating each key into held/reusable bits…
One thing I loved about RUDO BY NIGHT that I suppose can’t be replicated in ML is real rasslin’ moves.St00pid kids.LOL Thanks for the peek.
Yes, we made sure all the moves and holds were ‘authentic’ – that is, actually from Lucha Libre – something we weren’t allowed do in ML
I wanna work for you Guys !!!!! Please !!!!
