  • ¡Mucha Lucha! Sketchbook?

We’ve saved all the initial sketches and rough artwork from the past three seasons, and plan to put them all in a sketchbook.  Here are some examples of inital sketches and unused thumbnail sketches.  Also a page from Miss Lili’s fantastic guide to drawing Lucha holds…which was sadly underused.

  • I’d love to see that sketchbook. ;)

  • You will.  When it’s done, we’ll be making it available to anyone who wants a copy  -Eddie

  • Um. Have you guys decided on whether you are going to do a “How To Draw Mucha Lucha” book?

How about a sketchbook and how to draw book in one?

How much is the sketchbook going to cost?

    Thx

  • How about this, even better than a how to draw book.

How about a “How To Draw Mucha Lucha Animation” book.

    Something similar to this.

This way I can create my own Mucha Lucha parody flash cartoons.

Bring all your favorite Mucha Lucha characters to life, making them walk, run, talk, wrestle–even eat donuts! Learn all about the amazing art of animation, including action poses, animation cycles, and expressions–to tricks of the trade, such as storyboards,

  • You guys are the creators of Mucha Lucha??????

WOW!!! I’m 26 but I still enjoy watching the Mucha cartoons LoL!
Its a really unique theme, using Mexican wrestling culture :)

    Keep up the good work!

  • pcdoctor, a ‘How to Draw/Animate’ book is a huge undertaking.  Right now we’re heavily involved in developing new projects and don’t have the resources to take this on. This is also something that Warner Bros would have to sanction.

A sketchbook of rough designs and unused art, however, is relatively simple and inexpensive to do.  The plan would be to make it available as a freebie to anyone interested.

Yes, Johngoh…guilty!  Thanks for the kind words -Eddie

  • Eddie,

I’d gladly purchase the sketchbook. If you guys plan to make it available as a freebie – DAMN!

I know you guys are busy.  I just figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask.  I’m anxious to see this sketchbook when it’s done.

Let me ask another question then, is there going to be a Season 1, 2 and 3 DVD set available in the future?  Of course, I already have the other DVDs that are currently available.

  • As far as I know, WB Animation doesn’t have any plans for future DVD releases.  We’d love to see some of our favorite episodes from season 2 and season 3 released…and we’d LOVE to do audio commentary on them.
