That’s one scary female wrestler on the cover of that book!
Yes, seƱor Rafael Navarro does good work! -Eddie
The Boxing Noir at the Egyptian was great. Eddie Muller also showed a 40′s title fight featuring Rocky Graziano. The film ‘Champion’ starring Kirk Douglas is the source of that Ren & Stimpy line from ‘Space Madness’…”We aren’t hitchhiking any more, we’re riding!”
So I’m going through noir phase…here’s the last four I watched…
Criss Cross
Out Of The Past
Night And The City
Murder My Sweet
Next on the watching list is D.O.A.
Eddie, be sure to put Edgar G. Ulmer’s Detour on your noir list.
Yeah, Detour is great – classic bleak noir…I could see that again. I want to find Ida Lupino’s ‘The Hitch Hiker’, which I haven’t seen.
Also got ‘Raw Deal’ lined up…
