Month: January 2005

  • Bahooka, was where we had flaming cocktails last week with Matt and family who were visiting L.A. from Wisconsin. You have to see this place to believe it. Totally old-school Polynesian. Imagine the interior of the Tiki-Ti but larger, structured like a labyrinth, and filled with aquariums and assorted tiki/oceanic artefacts. One of these days we promise to organize a group dinner.

This week we had the pleasure of meeting Tom Warburton (creator of ‘Codename Kids Next Door’) and Adam Burton (creator of ‘Billy & Mandy’) and his partner, Nina, at Yamashiro in the Hollywood Hills. Great company and excellent sake!

Our lucha-aficionado friend Keith (publisher of From Parts Unknown) has a new blog HERE on xanga. Go visit and read about Ninjas vs Masked Wrestlers! Knowing that Eddie and I currently developing a carny cartoon (see previous post) Keith has lent us She-Freak (DVD). OK, this will be next on our ‘to-watch’ list after Zombie King.

  • HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, successful 2005!
