Our new favourite beverage this winter, is Mexican Cinnamon coffee!!! (Cafe de Olla) Which we tasted for the first time at Alegria last week. We’ll have to try this one at home
THE RECIPE via this site:Servings: 6 servings
Ingredients: 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
6 cloves
6 slices (julienne) orange zest
3 sticks cinnamon
6 tbsp. ground coffeeDirections: In a large saucepan, heat 6 cups of water with the brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, and cloves over moderately high heat until the mixture is hot, but do not let it boil. Add the coffee, bring the mixture to a boil, and boil it, stirring occasionally, for 3 minutes. Strain the coffee through a fine sieve and serve in coffee cups with the orange zest.

The ‘Casanova Wrestler’ is ‘El Guapo’…The ‘Darth Vader lookalike’ is ‘El Oscuro Invasor’…’El Curts’ is really ‘El Dolor de Kurtz’…the mummy’s real name is ‘Queen Voladora’…’Maestro del Mundo’ also goes by the name of ‘Irgwin’.
I like all the ingredients except for coffee. Does it work with tea?
