Lucha – The Next Big Thing?
- Eddie has received an email from Mike Tenay! (not saying any more for now
) - We (and Keith) did a ‘Lucha Libre’ interview with a documentary-filmmaker last night. Talked about how we both got into lucha, the vids, magazines and events that inspired us; a bit about the birth of ML and the infamous RBN.
- In the meantime we know of at least three other people who are currently developing lucha-focused TV shows/films.
- Time Magazine says it’s the next big thing and word on the street is that Liz’s and Rita’s Lucha Va Voom (which is on tomorrow night at The Mayan) could be going into development as a TV series!
- Rafael’s Sonambulo could be going into development as a feature film!
- And here’s something I’m really looking forward to… The Mucha Lucha toys will be released early next year (Jan-Feb) at the New York Toy Fair! Eddie and I will be making sure that we get our asses over there

Whinge…
There is nothing more frustrating than computer/internet-related problems when you spend as much time on the web as I do. Right now:
- I can’t log into my Typepad account to post more pictures to the LA album. I keep getting an error message.
- I can’t upload files to our website (or edit anything) because something screwy is going on with Telstra Bigpond, our ISP/Webhosting service and has been for weeks now.
- My customized Mail2Web account won’t let me send emails. Inexplicable error message… This isn’t happening to Eddie. Just me.

Wow, sounds like this whole “move to L.A.” thing is paying off already!
Well, except for all those web problems.
